In an effort to form the third alternative political front at the National level, Telungana Chief Minister met Mr. Karunanidhi & Mr. M. K. Stalin at Chennai today.
In an effort to form the third alternative political alliance, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Telungana Chief Minister, Mr. Chandrasekar Rao fly down to Chennai and met DMK President Mr. M. Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence.
He then went to the DMK Working President Mr. M. K. Stalin's house at Alwarpet and hold talks on the alternative political front at the central level.
Earlier, the Telangana Chief Minister had met West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Ms. Mamta Banerjee as part of the efforts to build a non-Congress, non-BJP third front ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Mr. M. K. Stalin had already said his party "endorsed" the efforts of Mamata Banerjee to bring together various parties against the BJP. It is to be noted that DMK and Congress are allies in Tamilnadu and the two had faced the 2016 Tamilnadu Assembly elections as part of an alliance.
Let's wait and see whether the third front will be formed. Will it be a beneficial to the success of BJP once again due to the split of votes.
